    About Singapore

A futuristic city-state where ultramodern skyscrapers, lush gardens, and diverse cultures converge in perfect harmony.

Singapore’s rapid transformation from a colonial outpost to a global economic hub is a testament to its strategic location and free market economy. By leveraging its status as a premier international port and a leader in financial services, the city-state has achieved one of the world's highest GDP per capita rankings. This "Asian Tiger" remains a top destination for foreign direct investment and tech innovation, seamlessly blending multiculturalism with a smart city infrastructure that defines modern urban planning.

    Why Visit?

    Why Choose singapore?

    Sir Stamford Raffles' Vision

In 1819, Sir Stamford Raffles recognized Singapore's strategic potential at the crossroads of Asian trade routes. He established it as a free port, setting the foundation for its transformation from obscurity to prosperity.

    Lee Kuan Yew's Legacy

Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew (1959–1990) transformed Singapore from a colonial backwater into a thriving modern nation through visionary policies, strict governance, and meritocratic systems that prioritized education and infrastructure.

    Multicultural Harmony

Singapore seamlessly blends Chinese, Malay, Indian, and Western influences. Its constitutional guarantee of religious freedom, multiple official languages, and cultural festivals create a unique model of diversity and unity.

From Port City to Financial Hub

Singapore evolved from a trading post to the world's busiest transshipment port, then to a global financial center. Today, it hosts the Asian Development Bank, major stock exchanges, and attracts billions in foreign direct investment.

    Must-Experience Attractions

Marina Bay Sands SkyPark & Infinity Pool (57th Floor)
Gardens by the Bay - Supertree Grove & Cloud Forest
Sentosa Island - Universal Studios & Beach Resorts
Jewel Changi Airport - Rain Vortex & Canopy Park
Little India, Chinatown & Arab Street Cultural Quarters
Merlion Park, Singapore Flyer & Night Safari

    Singapore Tour Packages from India

A Singapore tour package from India costs roughly ₹35,000 to ₹60,000 per person for a 4–5 night land-only trip, or ₹65,000 to ₹1,00,000 per person with return flights included. Four or five nights is the right length: Singapore is compact enough that you never change hotels, and everything worth seeing sits within a short MRT ride or drive.

Two things Indian travellers need to get right before anything else. You need a visa, applied through an authorised agent — there is no visa on arrival and no visa-free entry. And you separately need the free SG Arrival Card, filed within three days of travel. Since January 2026, airlines flying from Indian airports can refuse you boarding without it, even with an approved visa. Bayard Vacations handles both as part of every Singapore booking.

    Singapore trip at a glance

    Ideal duration

4–5 nights for Singapore alone; 6–8 nights if you add a cruise or a Malaysia leg

    Cost from India

₹35,000–₹60,000 per person land-only; ₹65,000–₹1,00,000 per person with flights

    Best season

Year-round. The real variables are Indian school holidays and event weekends, not weather

    Visa for Indians

Required. Applied through an ICA-authorised agent, issued electronically, typically 3–5 working days

    Also required

SG Arrival Card, free, filed online within 3 days before arrival. Denied boarding without it

    Flight time

About 4h from Kolkata, 4h 15m from Chennai, 4h 30m from Bengaluru, 5h 30m from Delhi and Mumbai

    Airport

Singapore Changi (SIN) — an attraction in its own right, with the Jewel Rain Vortex

    Best for

Families, multi-generational groups, couples, first-time international travellers

    Currency

Singapore Dollar (SGD). Cards work almost everywhere; carry a little cash for hawker centres

Do Indians need a visa for Singapore in 2026?

Yes. There is no visa on arrival for Indian passport holders and no visa-free entry. You must have an approved Singapore visa before you fly, and applications cannot be filed directly with the High Commission — they go through an ICA-authorised visa agent.

    How to apply

Through an ICA-authorised agent. Bayard files this for you as part of your package

    Government fee

SGD 30, approximately ₹2,100, plus the agent's service charge

    Processing

Typically 3–5 working days for a complete application

    Format

Electronic. Paper sticker visas are no longer issued — you receive a PDF

    Validity

Ranges from around 35 days to 2 years. Two-year multiple-entry visas are increasingly common for applicants with a clean travel history

    Length of stay

Up to 30 days per entry, but the actual permitted stay is set by the immigration officer at Changi and is often 14 to 30 days

The SG Arrival Card — and why missing it now means denied boarding

The SG Arrival Card (SGAC) is separate from your visa, and having an approved visa does not exempt you from it. It is a free electronic declaration filed at the ICA website within three days before you arrive. It replaced the old paper disembarkation card, and it takes about five minutes.

What changed in 2026 is the consequence of skipping it. Since 30 January 2026, Singapore's ICA issues No-Boarding Directives to airlines, which means carriers flying to Singapore from Indian airports can stop you at the departure gate if your SGAC is not on file. This is not a formality you sort out on arrival any more — it is a boarding requirement.

File it after your flight is confirmed, ideally the night before departure. You will need your passport details, flight number and Singapore accommodation address. Save the acknowledgement to your phone. Bayard sends every traveller the link, the hotel address you will need, and a reminder timed to the three-day window.

    The 96-hour transit exception

If you hold a valid US, UK, Schengen, Australian, Japanese or New Zealand visa and are transiting through Changi with a confirmed onward ticket departing within 96 hours, you may qualify for visa-free transit under Singapore's Visa Free Transit Facility. Conditions apply, including minimum remaining validity on the qualifying visa. This is a transit provision, not a route into a Singapore holiday — for a package trip you need the tourist visa.

What you need for the visa application

    • Passport valid for at least 6 months beyond your travel dates, with blank pages

    • Recent passport-size photograph to Singapore's specification — white background, matte finish

    • Completed Form 14A and a covering letter

    • Confirmed return air tickets and hotel bookings

    • Financial proof — typically bank statements for the last three to six months

    • Employment letter, or business registration if self-employed

Approval rates for Indian applicants are high when the file is complete and genuine. The most common causes of rejection are thin financial documentation, unconfirmed or clearly speculative bookings, and no demonstrable reason to return home. We review every file before it is submitted.

Singapore tour package cost from India

A 4–5 night Singapore package costs ₹35,000 to ₹60,000 per person land-only, and ₹65,000 to ₹1,00,000 per person with return flights. Cruise and Malaysia combinations run higher.

Singapore is not the cheapest destination in Southeast Asia and there is no point pretending otherwise. What matters is knowing which lines are driving the number — because in Singapore it is hotels and attraction tickets, not flights or food.

    Component

    Typical range (per person)

    What moves the number

    ₹18,000 – ₹50,000

The biggest single swing. A Sentosa or Marina Bay address costs multiples of a Geylang or Little India one

    Attraction tickets

    ₹8,000 – ₹20,000

The second biggest. Universal Studios, Singapore Oceanarium, Night Safari and Gardens by the Bay are each a meaningful ticket

    Transfers and local transport

    ₹2,000 – ₹8,000

The MRT is cheap and excellent. Private transfers cost several times more and are worth it with seniors or small children

    Meals beyond breakfast

    ₹1,200 – ₹3,000 per day

Hawker centres at the low end, mall and restaurant dining at the high end. The gap here is enormous

    Popular Singapore itineraries

Singapore rewards planning more than most destinations, because the cost sits in ticketed attractions. The difference between a good trip and an expensive one is usually deciding what to skip.

    Simply Singapore — 4 Nights / 5 Days

From ₹45,000 per person (land only) · Best for first-time visitors and families

The standard format, and the right one for most people. One hotel, no repacking, and the city's headline attractions across four full days.

    • Day 1 — Arrive Changi, check in, evening at Clarke Quay or the Marina Bay waterfront

    • Day 2 — Half-day city tour: Merlion Park, Marina Bay, Chinatown and Little India, then Gardens by the Bay for Supertree Grove and the Cloud Forest

    • Day 3 — Sentosa: cable car across, Singapore Oceanarium, Wings of Time in the evening

    • Day 4 — Universal Studios Singapore, full day — or swap for Orchard Road and Mustafa Centre if theme parks are not your thing

    • Day 5 — Departure, with time for Jewel Changi before your flight

The one decision that matters here: Universal Studios is a full day and a significant ticket. If your group includes anyone over sixty or under four, Night Safari or the Singapore Zoo is usually the better use of that day and the better memory.

    Customize this itinerary →

Singapore with Night Safari — 3 Nights / 4 Days

From ₹35,000 per person (land only) · Best for short breaks and long weekends

The compressed version, built around one marquee attraction rather than trying to fit in three.

    • Day 1 — Arrive Singapore, evening free at Marina Bay or Clarke Quay

    • Day 2 — City tour and Gardens by the Bay, with the Garden Rhapsody light show after dark

    • Day 3 — Half day on Sentosa, then Night Safari in the evening

    • Day 4 — Departure

Singapore works genuinely well as a four-day trip in a way that most international destinations do not, because nothing is more than forty minutes from anything else. If you only have a long weekend, this is a real holiday rather than a rushed one.

Plan a short Singapore break →

Singapore and Malaysia — 6 to 7 Days

From ₹75,000 per person (land only) · Best for families and groups wanting two countries

Three or four nights in Singapore, then Kuala Lumpur and Genting Highlands by road or a short flight. A classic Indian-market combination, and better value per day than Singapore alone because Malaysian hotels and food cost considerably less.

    • Days 1–3 — Singapore: city tour, Gardens by the Bay, Sentosa and Universal Studios

    • Day 4 — Transfer to Kuala Lumpur

    • Days 5–6 — Petronas Twin Towers, Batu Caves, KL city tour, and Genting Highlands with the cable car and theme park

    • Day 7 — Departure from Kuala Lumpur

Worth knowing: Malaysia and Singapore have separate entry requirements, and you will need to satisfy both. We handle the sequencing and the paperwork together rather than leaving you to discover the second one late.

Plan a Singapore and Malaysia trip →

    Singapore with a cruise — 6 to 8 Days

From ₹1,00,000 per person (land only) · Best for families and multi-generational groups

Three nights in the city, then two to four nights at sea. Singapore is Southeast Asia's main cruise homeport, and sailings from Marina Bay Cruise Centre run to Malaysia, Thailand and the surrounding islands — including a Disney-branded ship now sailing from Singapore, which has become the most-requested family cruise product in the Indian market.

    • Days 1–3 — Singapore: city, Gardens by the Bay, Sentosa

    • Day 4 — Board at Marina Bay Cruise Centre

    • Days 5–7 — At sea and port calls, depending on the sailing

    • Day 8 — Disembark and depart

Book this one early. Cruise cabins in the Indian school-holiday windows sell out months ahead, and cabin category has a far bigger effect on the total than hotel category does on a land trip. Sailing dates and itineraries vary by season — we confirm live availability before quoting.

    Singapore packages from your city

Singapore is one of the best-connected international destinations from India, with nonstop service from every major metro and multiple daily flights on the busier routes.

    Ahmedabad

    Singapore packages from Bangalore

About four and a half hours nonstop, with multiple daily departures across carriers. Bengaluru is Bayard's home base and our highest-volume Singapore market. The overnight departures are worth knowing about — they land you at Changi early morning, which effectively adds a full day to a four-night trip.

Travellers from Mysore, Mangalore and elsewhere in Karnataka depart from Bengaluru, and we build the itinerary around it.

    Singapore packages from Chennai

About four and a quarter hours nonstop, and one of the cheapest India–Singapore sectors. Chennai has an unusually high frequency of Singapore flights for its size, which gives you real choice on timings. Travellers from Coimbatore, Madurai and Trichy generally connect through Chennai.

Singapore packages from Hyderabad, Delhi and Mumbai

All three have direct daily service. Hyderabad runs about four and three-quarter hours; Delhi and Mumbai about five and a half. Delhi and Mumbai fares peak hardest in the December and May school-holiday windows, so book eight to ten weeks earlier from these cities than you would from Chennai or Kolkata.

Singapore packages from Kolkata and Kochi

Kolkata is the shortest India–Singapore sector at roughly four hours, and often the cheapest. Kochi has direct service at about four and a half hours, with lower frequency — so dates matter more, and we check live schedules before quoting.

    Who Singapore suits best

    Singapore for families

Probably the single best international family destination reachable from India in under six hours. Universal Studios, the Singapore Oceanarium, Night Safari, the Singapore Zoo and Sentosa's beaches give you a week of content without a domestic flight or a hotel change. Everything is stroller-friendly, everyone speaks English, tap water is drinkable, and you can find Indian food within walking distance of most hotels.

The one thing to manage is ticket fatigue. Four consecutive ticketed days will exhaust a young family and cost a fortune. We build in a lighter day — Gardens by the Bay, the riverfront, a hawker centre lunch — between the big ones.

Singapore for multi-generational and senior travellers

Singapore is the easiest destination we sell for groups travelling with parents or grandparents. Pavements are level and wide, attractions are almost universally wheelchair accessible, medical care is world-class if it is needed, and vegetarian and Jain food is genuinely easy to find rather than a compromise. Distances are short enough that a slower pace does not mean seeing less.

For senior travellers we usually recommend private transfers over the MRT and shared coaches. It is a meaningful cost difference and almost always worth it.

    Singapore for honeymoons and couples

A different Singapore from the family version. Marina Bay Sands, the Gardens by the Bay light show, rooftop bars, the Singapore Flyer, a Sentosa resort stay and a night at a hawker centre with a beer. Three or four nights suits couples, often as a shorter leg paired with Bali or a cruise rather than as a full holiday on its own.

    Singapore for first-time international travellers

Alongside Thailand, the easiest first trip abroad from India. English everywhere, signage you can read, public transport you can navigate on day one, no language barrier at a hospital or a police station, and a level of safety that lets you relax. The visa is the only real friction, and we handle that.

Best time to visit Singapore from India

Singapore is a genuine year-round destination. It sits almost on the equator, so the temperature barely moves — warm and humid every month, with short heavy showers that usually pass within the hour. There is no bad-weather season to plan around, and because the city is compact and largely indoors or covered, rain rarely costs you a day.

What you are actually planning around is crowds and price.

    Period

    What to expect

    Verdict

    December – early January

Year-end events, festive decorations along Orchard Road, and peak Indian and global holiday demand. Highest hotel rates of the year

Book 10–12 weeks ahead or travel another month

    Late April – June

Indian school holidays. Universal Studios and Sentosa are at their busiest, and family package prices rise

Great for families who need these dates, expensive otherwise

    February – March

Post-peak lull with good rates and manageable crowds. Chinese New Year is the exception — Chinatown is spectacular but the city is busy

The best-value window for most travellers

    July – November

Quieter and cheaper apart from the Formula 1 weekend in September, when hotel rates across the city spike sharply

Good value. Check the F1 dates before booking

The one date to actually check: the Singapore Grand Prix weekend in September. Hotel rates across the entire island, not just near the circuit, rise substantially and availability collapses. If you are not going for the race, avoid that week. If you are, book several months out.

    Where to go in Singapore

Marina Bay and the city core

The Singapore of the postcards. Marina Bay Sands and its SkyPark observation deck, Merlion Park, the Helix Bridge, and Gardens by the Bay with the Supertree Grove, the Cloud Forest and the Flower Dome. The free Garden Rhapsody light show at the Supertrees runs nightly and is worth timing your evening around. Clarke Quay and Boat Quay along the river handle the rest of the night.

    Sentosa Island

Singapore's leisure island, reached by cable car, monorail or the boardwalk on foot. Universal Studios Singapore is the headline — now including Minion Land and Super Nintendo World alongside the original zones. Also on the island: the Singapore Oceanarium, Adventure Cove Waterpark, Madame Tussauds, SkyHelix, the Wings of Time show and three beaches. Most people give Sentosa one full day; families often give it two.

Singapore Oceanarium — formerly S.E.A. Aquarium

Worth calling out separately, because many itineraries still list the old name. The S.E.A. Aquarium reopened in July 2025 as the Singapore Oceanarium after a major expansion — roughly three times its previous size, across 22 themed zones, and now one of the largest aquariums in the world. If you visited the old aquarium, this is a different attraction rather than a refresh.

    Mandai wildlife parks

Four parks on one site north of the city, and Singapore's strongest family cluster after Sentosa. The Singapore Zoo, the Night Safari — the world's first nocturnal zoo and still the best of its kind — River Wonders with its giant pandas and manatees, and Bird Paradise, which replaced the old Jurong Bird Park. Rainforest Wild Asia, an adventure-style park with elevated walkways and canopy trails, joined the group recently. You cannot do all of them well in one day; pick two.

Little India, Chinatown and Kampong Glam

Singapore's three heritage quarters, and the part of the city that feels least engineered. Little India for Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple, Tekka Centre and the Mustafa Centre, which is open around the clock and is where most Indian visitors do their shopping. Chinatown for the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and Maxwell Food Centre. Kampong Glam for the Sultan Mosque, Haji Lane's murals and independent shops. All three are free to walk and among the best things to do in the city.

    Orchard Road and Jewel Changi

Orchard Road is the mainstream shopping stretch, a couple of kilometres of malls. Jewel Changi, attached to the airport, is worth arriving early for or building a departure-day stop around — the HSBC Rain Vortex is the world's tallest indoor waterfall, and the Shiseido Forest Valley around it makes a genuinely good final few hours.

What's included in a Bayard Singapore package

    Included

    • Hotel stays in well-located Singapore neighbourhoods — 3-star, 4-star or 5-star, or a Sentosa resort

    • Daily breakfast

    • Airport transfers, shared or private

    • Sightseeing and attraction entries per your itinerary — city tour, Gardens by the Bay, Sentosa, Universal Studios, Singapore Oceanarium, Night Safari

    • Singapore visa application filed through an authorised agent

    • SG Arrival Card guidance and a reminder before the three-day window

    • Optional cruise nights or a Malaysia extension

    • On-trip support and coordination

    Not included

    • International airfare, unless you have asked us to bundle it

    • The SGD 30 government visa fee itself

    • Optional attractions, shows and upgrades not listed in your itinerary

    • Travel insurance (strongly recommended, and we can arrange it)

    • Personal expenses: shopping, extra meals, drinks and tips

Singapore, Thailand or Dubai — which should you pick?

Indian travellers planning a short, safe, family-friendly international trip usually end up weighing these three. Here is the honest comparison.

Pick Singapore if you want the easiest possible trip with the least friction on the ground. English everywhere, the best public transport in Asia, exceptional safety, world-class attractions in a compact area, and the strongest destination on this list for travelling with grandparents or very young children. It is the most expensive of the three, and that is the trade-off.

Pick Thailand if budget matters most. Thailand requires no visa for Indians, costs materially less on hotels and food, and gives you beaches that Singapore simply does not have. It is less polished and less efficient, which for some travellers is the appeal.

Pick Dubai if you want scale, shopping and desert experiences, and you are travelling from North or West India where the flight is shorter. Dubai and Singapore cost broadly similar amounts. Singapore is greener and easier to walk; Dubai is bigger and more car-dependent.

On cost specifically: Singapore's expense sits in hotels and attraction tickets rather than flights or food — hawker centre meals cost less than restaurant meals in Bangkok. A family that uses the MRT, eats at hawker centres and picks two ticketed attractions rather than four can bring a Singapore trip much closer to a Thailand budget than the headline numbers suggest.

We plan all three. Tell us your dates, group and budget and we will price the same trip length in each.

Compare Singapore, Thailand and Dubai for your dates →

    Practical things worth knowing

    Money and cards

Singapore is close to cashless. Cards and contactless payments work almost everywhere including most hawker stalls, and you can tap a contactless card directly on MRT and bus readers without buying a transit pass. Carry a small amount of Singapore Dollars for older hawker centres and wet markets. Budget ₹10,000 to ₹25,000 per person for shopping and incidentals on a 4–5 night trip, which is where Singapore trips usually overrun.

    Getting around

The MRT is fast, cheap, air-conditioned and covers everywhere you will want to go. A contactless card or an EZ-Link pass is all you need. Taxis and Grab are readily available and reasonably priced by international standards but far more expensive than the MRT. For a family with young children or travellers with mobility needs, private transfers are worth the difference — for everyone else, the MRT is genuinely part of the experience.

    Food, including vegetarian and Jain

Among the easiest destinations in Asia for Indian dietary requirements. Little India has dozens of North and South Indian restaurants, and pure-vegetarian and Jain options are readily available rather than an afterthought. Hawker centres almost always have a vegetarian stall. Food courts label items clearly. Tell us your requirements and we will pick hotels within reach of the right options.

    SIM cards and connectivity

Tourist SIMs and eSIMs are sold at Changi on arrival and are inexpensive. Free public Wi-Fi is widespread. Coverage is total across the island, including underground on the MRT.

    Rules worth taking seriously

Singapore enforces its public rules in a way most visitors are not used to. No eating or drinking on the MRT, including water. Littering and jaywalking carry real fines. Chewing gum cannot be brought in for sale. Smoking is banned in most public areas, with designated zones marked. None of this is difficult to comply with, but the fines are not symbolic.

    What to pack

Light breathable clothing — it is humid every day of the year — plus something warm for the aggressive indoor air conditioning in malls, on the MRT and in cinemas, which catches out almost every first-time visitor. An umbrella or light rain jacket. Comfortable walking shoes; you will walk more than you expect. Modest clothing if you plan to visit the temples and mosques in the heritage quarters.

Why book Singapore with Bayard Vacations

Singapore looks simple to plan, and that is exactly why people overspend on it. The cost sits in ticketed attractions and hotel location, and the difference between a well-sequenced trip and a badly-sequenced one is often thirty per cent of the budget and a lot of unnecessary walking.

    • Visa and SG Arrival Card both handled. We file the visa through an authorised agent and make sure the arrival card is submitted inside the window, so nobody is turned away at the gate.

    • Attractions chosen for your group, not bundled by default. Universal Studios is wrong for a lot of the families it gets sold to, and we will say so.

    • Ticketed days spaced out. Four consecutive attraction days is how a Singapore holiday becomes exhausting and expensive.

    • Hotel location chosen deliberately. An MRT-adjacent hotel two stops out often beats a more expensive Marina Bay address, and sometimes it does not — it depends on your group.

    • Shared versus private transfers priced honestly, so you can decide rather than being defaulted into one.

    • Cruise and Malaysia extensions costed separately, so you can see what the add-on actually costs before committing.

    Singapore package FAQs

Do Indians need a visa for Singapore?

Yes. There is no visa on arrival and no visa-free entry for Indian passport holders. Applications go through an ICA-authorised agent, cost SGD 30 in government fees plus the agent's charge, and take about 3 to 5 working days. The visa is issued electronically.

What is the SG Arrival Card and do I need it?

Yes, and it is separate from your visa. The SG Arrival Card is a free online declaration filed within three days before arrival. Since January 2026, airlines can deny you boarding at Indian airports if it is not on file, even with an approved visa.

How much does a Singapore trip cost from India?

A 4–5 night Singapore package costs ₹35,000 to ₹60,000 per person land-only, or ₹65,000 to ₹1,00,000 per person with return flights. Cruise and Malaysia combinations start around ₹1,00,000 per person land-only.

How many days are enough for Singapore?

Four to five nights covers the city comfortably — Marina Bay, Gardens by the Bay, Sentosa and one or two major attractions. Three nights works as a short break. Six to eight nights if you are adding a cruise or a Malaysia leg.

Is Singapore expensive for Indian travellers?

It is the most expensive of the popular Southeast Asian destinations, but the cost sits in hotels and attraction tickets rather than food or transport. Hawker centre meals and the MRT are genuinely cheap, so a family that plans carefully can bring the total down considerably.

What is the best time to visit Singapore?

Any month — the climate barely changes. February to March offers the best combination of rates and manageable crowds. Avoid the December peak and the Formula 1 weekend in September, when hotel rates across the island rise sharply.

Is Singapore good for a family holiday?

It is one of the best family destinations reachable from India in under six hours. Universal Studios, the Singapore Oceanarium, Night Safari and the Singapore Zoo cover a week with no hotel changes, and everything is English-speaking, safe and stroller-friendly.

Is Universal Studios Singapore worth it?

Yes for families with children roughly six to sixteen, and for adults who enjoy theme parks. It is a full day and a significant ticket, so if your group includes seniors or toddlers, Night Safari or the Singapore Zoo is usually the better use of that day.

What happened to the S.E.A. Aquarium?

It reopened in July 2025 as the Singapore Oceanarium after a major expansion — roughly three times larger, across 22 themed zones, and now one of the largest aquariums in the world. Many itineraries still list the old name, but it is the same location at Resorts World Sentosa.

Are there direct flights from India to Singapore?

Yes, from every major metro. Kolkata is the shortest at about four hours, followed by Chennai, Bengaluru, Kochi and Hyderabad. Delhi, Mumbai and Ahmedabad are around five and a half hours. Most routes have multiple daily departures.

How long does a Singapore visa take?

Typically 3 to 5 working days for a complete application through an authorised agent. Apply at least three weeks before travel to leave room for a query or a resubmission, and earlier during the December and May school-holiday peaks.

Can I get a Singapore visa on arrival?

No. Indian passport holders must have an approved visa before departure. The only exception is the 96-hour Visa Free Transit Facility for travellers transiting Changi who hold a qualifying US, UK, Schengen, Australian, Japanese or New Zealand visa and a confirmed onward ticket.

Is vegetarian food easy to find in Singapore?

Very. Little India has dozens of Indian restaurants including pure-vegetarian and Jain options, most hawker centres have a vegetarian stall, and food courts label items clearly. It is among the easiest destinations in Asia for Indian dietary requirements.

How much cash should I carry to Singapore?

Very little. Cards and contactless payments work almost everywhere including most hawker stalls and the MRT. Carry a small amount of Singapore Dollars for older hawker centres and wet markets, and budget ₹10,000 to ₹25,000 per person for shopping.

Can I combine Singapore with Malaysia or a cruise?

Yes, and both are popular. Singapore with Kuala Lumpur and Genting runs six to seven days. Singapore with a cruise from Marina Bay Cruise Centre runs six to eight. Cruise cabins in school-holiday windows sell out months ahead, so book early.

Is Singapore safe for solo and female travellers?

Yes — it is consistently rated among the safest countries in the world, including for solo female travellers. Public transport is safe late at night, street harassment is rare, and the city is well lit and heavily monitored.

What is included in a Bayard Singapore package?

Hotels, daily breakfast, airport transfers, sightseeing and attraction entries per your itinerary, the visa application filed through an authorised agent, SG Arrival Card guidance and on-trip support. International flights and the government visa fee are quoted separately.

How far in advance should I book a Singapore trip?

Six to eight weeks for most dates, allowing time for the visa. Ten to twelve weeks for December, the April–May school holidays, and any cruise sailing, when hotels, flights and cabins all sell out first and rates rise sharply.
